   BHM at WBCH Opens Today!
   The market is open and the food has arrived. Join us at the Market today from 3:30-7pm. Bring your umbrella just in case but it looks like high 70s/low 80s, a little cloud cover and humidity – a perfectly normal spring day in Richmond. Colors will be bright and the food will be wonderful, nutritious as it can be. As manager I am excited to welcome you all back – our customers, our vendors, our visitors, volunteers, supporters and passersby. Byrd House Market is a great place to shop, eat, chat, learn, share and hang out (under the Mulberry Tree). 3rd Tuesday Jam will return. Food demonstrations. Animals to pet. Make our market a part of your week, your diet, your good health.

   Byrd Farm/Rural Va Market is raffling off a CSA share – stop by their booth and the BHM info tent for details! Fresh veggies just waiting for you to pick up. If you’ve never experienced the convenience of a CSA or are new to vegetables this is a great way to be introduced. Check it out.

   Get Your Caracature On with Stan Rayfield!
   WBCH welcomes renowned portrait artist and caracaturist, Stanley Rayfield, to Byrd House Market for Opening Day. Stan has received acclaim from the Smithsonian Institution, recently exhibited at the Glave Kocen Gallery on W. Main St in the Fan and has won national awards for his portrait painting. You can check out samples of his work online at http://www.stanleyrayfield.com and while he works on you! From 4 – 7 pm under the Mulberry Tree in the Garden, Stan will do caracatures for your donations. Let’s make this a hit so Stan’s work can become a staple on our menu!
