“Oregon Hill” was a song by Ted Toot. It was recorded in the late 60s, early 70s. I wasn’t in on the recording, but I played bass with Ted’s band for about a year or so around 1971. The locally-recorded 45 was on all the Lock Haven, PA area jukeboxes. And of course we played it every night. There was a ski resort nearby called, you guessed it – Oregon Hill.
That’s awesome, Paul. Thank you very much for the record info. I know about the ski resort and actually have a patch that says “Ski Oregon Hill”.

but I think you need to consider musical context- I just wish I had more to go on.
I wonder if the Cowboy Junkies have heard this.
