The above burglary took place at my home, between 1 and 3 a.m. It appears the thief used a lawn chair to stand on to gain access into the home through a window. The lock was forced open and the plastic weather-protective screen was cut open apparently with a knife or sharp object. I am guessing that the thief got spooked by a passing car or some noise from inside the house, because they only took the purse and not any electronics, etc.
I have lived in the same house for three years and have never experienced anything of this kind. Everyone in the neighborhood please be on the lookout for suspicious activity, especially people attempting to look in windows. The police informed me that just a few days before there was a similar robbery about a block away except it was a car that was burglarized.
