From current Oregon Hill Neighborhood Association President Jennifer Hancock:
Just sending out a reminder that OHNA has a meeting tonight and adding to the agenda Katie, A VCU grad student, who is working on a project involving parking around the VCU campus. She would like to hear Oregon Hill’s views on the parking situation.
we need to meet very soon, I have been trying to discuss a plan to provide parking for the residents of oregon hill we need to come to a solution for this on-going problem befor it gets out of control and to design a program for the kids in our community to have a safe and fun place to enjoy themselfs I have come up with an idea that would be a great opportunity for everyone that lives around here regardless of who they are, we as residents should have some say in what is planned for our community as we live here and we are the community, there should be a time when everyone is allowed to speak there mind on the issues that are planned for our neighborhood and giving a chance to be involved in everything that happens. Like I said we need to meet and discuss this issue soon
If anyone would like to talk to me about this comment that I posted please feel free to come by my home and speak your mind I’m open to all and any issues that you may what to talk about I live at 815 albemarle st.
Mike, we talked briefly on Saturday morning regarding the parking situation. Would like hear everyone’s ideals on Oregon Hill issues. Are you a member of the Oregon Hill group on yahoo? Its a great way to keep in touch with the currently events affecting OH and Richmond City. All OH residents can join OHNA (free) and the Yahoo Group just by asking ~ check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OregonHill/
A VCU police office will start attending the OHNA meetings beginning in February.
Our meetings are held Monthly on the 4th Tuesday in the WBCH Library 7pm-8pm. We need more OH residents to participate in OHNA, it committess, and to take advantage of the OHNA/VCU Gym Membership discount that has finally come fruition.
